“ Rivers NEVER disappoints! Top tier service, super fresh and interesting ingredients with something on the menu for everyone. Took my friend for her birthday lunch and we were given a lovely complimentary dessert with a candle - incredible chocolate cake and ice cream. This is technically a fancy restaurant but the open kitchen and outdoor space on the Riverwalk make it very comfortable and cozy. ”

Ambiance is very nice as it sits facing the river. If you're in the downtown area pop in for a bit. You'll be glad you did ”
“ As a relatively new person foraying into finer Chicago dining, this was an interesting experience. The restaurant is located behind CME Group, which felt intimidating until we walked in. The ambiance was much calmer and softer, with the evening dimness offsetting the intensity of the other businesses. Our food was good, not great. The guacamole tower was nice, maybe not for the price. I found the steak to be one of the better ones since it did not taste overly salty and the associated sauce was pretty good. The fried rice was too salty, but the taste was pretty good. The service was okay. They were kind, but I ended up having to use a butter knife the entire night (which did not end up being too bad). Would recommend, especially if you can get an outdoor seat next to the river! ”
